Script:
For thousands of years, the isolated islands of Japan have dominated the world stage. But on its way to the top, Japan had to survive catastrophic destruction, and did it by going underground. From a super bunker that survived the nuclear blast in Hiroshima, shown for the first time on TV, to mountain fortresses built to house the entire imperial government, and subterranean megastructures that can save the city from the strongest earthquakes and the most devastating floods. And even the secret hideouts of ancient ninja warriors. It's the real story of Japan's success, and it's all underground. We're peeling back the layers of time on Cities of the Underworld, the A-Bomb Underground. Today, Japan is an economic powerhouse, on the cutting edge of engineering and technology. But a hundred years ago, it was a military powerhouse, ready to take on the world. They began an era of conquest across Asia, and the Pacific Ocean. Then the Japanese struck Pearl Harbor in 1941, and the U.S. was in it to the end.

Script:
By boat, by board, or by bike, we're leaving the mainland and heading to paradise in search of the best island bites. We're sinking our teeth into a Caribbean classic and diving into fresh ahi tuna that just melts in your mouth. It's an hour by ferry, but a world away. Angelenos get away to the town of Avalon to recharge and feed their island fantasies. And at the Descanso Beach Club, they can eat like islanders too, right on their towels. William Wrigley Jr., the guy who made a mint of gum, bought Catalina Island in 1919 with a vision of creating a world-class paradise for working folks. It's a legacy locals are proud of, including the beach club's VP of Hospitality, Lou Botchpeck.

Script:
On January 24th, 2018, Minnie Smith left her house to catch the bus for school, and vanished without a trace. What were the conditions like the morning Minnie went missing? The bus stop is approximately a four-minute walk from the apartment where Minnie lived with her mom, stepdad, and younger brother. Minnie's disappearance would launch an unprecedented investigation. Minnie ended up in Kentwood, Michigan, 13 years ago when she was just three years old. A suburb of Grand Rapids, the peaceful town of 50,000 is in sharp contrast to the war-torn region of Sierra Leone. When Minnie didn't show up for school on January 24th, 2018, the administration called Minnie's mom. After a day had passed with no word from Minnie, Jane called the Grand Rapids Police Department and filed a missing persons report. She said Minnie was having some personal issues, but didn't go into details. The dispatcher on duty classified Minnie as a runaway.

Script:
Sometimes, trying to protect Great Whites comes down to two guys on a small skiff facing massive predators below and ominous guys above. These waters are a haven for monster-sized sharks, and Captain Brett McBride and Jimmy the Kid split off from the rest of their team to try to land one. The Great White escapes the hook. As they try again, the mother ship and her team is doing the same a few miles up the coast off the Mexican island of Guadalupe.
